Hello friends,
simplicity. Mapserver and Mapguide seems like strong candidates. I am
also confused about the support from Autodesk and DM solutions.
I am a developer, and I understand GIS terminology. I am in search of
the best open web based GIS solution where I can render my shapefiles
on browser and view fairly good quality maps. I have all the
shapefiles with me and configuration/setting up a gis server never
bothers me.
I am in search of a healthy suggestion which can clear my confusion
directly and show me some direction for choosing the best gis engine.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Ambastha

I use Geoserver, which seems to be a good open source solution, and
very standards compliant, as it is the reference implementation for
WFS.
