Hi All,

I have a question which is driving me nuts.

Does anyone know how to set proxy settings for MapInfo Professional.

Our company uses a proxy to access the internet. Using the proxy server
I can view information in Internet Explorer with no problem

However, within MapInfo Pro when I try to access a WMS or WFS server I
get the pop-up cache access denied.

I know that this is due to proxy settings which have not been
configured for MapInfo.

Where can I configure the proxy settings in MapInfo??

I basically need to tell the software that the proxy server is
192.168.0.5 etc. and then I will be able to open lots and lots of Web
Map Services and Web Feature Services!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

If you look under the Options menu -> Preferences -> Web Services
Preferences you can set the Proxy Services settings.

Hi Greg,

This isn't in version 7.8 (there is no Web Services Preferences). I
believe this is available in version 8.0. which I haven't got.

Is there another way to get 7.8. talking to web services?

I just want to change the proxy settings!

Thanks

Chris
