Hi,
I am looking for a P.hD program in a U.S university, located close to
the Canadian border, so that I can stay in Canada and commute to the
U.S. I have a Civil Engg. degree and 9 yrs. of I.T exp. So, can you
please mention what programs would be suitable ? Alternatively, can
you help me locate an univ. offering programs in Spatial Database
Engines or GIS / GPS / Remote Sensing etc. Canadian univ. would also
be fine enough !

Most Unis have GIS/Remote sensing sections

Try SFU for Geography, Earth Sciences,
Resource-environment-management program
UofCalgary Geography, Geology
Lethbridge U has a large Remote studies
UBC
Waterloo
York
Laval
etc. etc.

the geomatics engineering department might be more suitable, at the U of
Calgary. There is a strong GPS team there.
