Hi,

Latitud band? I don't know if there is a proper term, bur i guess i
would use that one.
Let's wait for other opinions.

Try "zone". I found a picture on p 14 of Burington's Handbook of
Mathematical Tables and Formulas, then confirmed it at
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/zone .
