Call for Abstracts - Computational Techniques and Technologies in
GeoComputation
Abstracts (max. 250 words) are invited for consideration in the 2nd
event in the series of Special Sessions on "Emerging Computational
Techniques and Technologies in GeoComputation" (ECTTG 2007), held at
the AAG Annual Conference.
The aim of the session is to bring together the research on the
computational techniques and technologies used in GeoComputation, which
would otherwise be left out from the mainly geography or geographic
information technology applications oriented sessions in the AAG
conference.
There are no specific themes for the session but the submitted
abstracts will be assessed for their uniqueness and potential for
attracting positive scientific debate. This year, the session would
particularly like to solicit papers on the following topics:
- Nanotechnology for GeoComputation
- Data Mining & Visualisation of Massive Geospatial Datasets
- New programming languages/library for GeoComputation
- Visual Surveillance
- Multi-modal Geovisualisation
- Perspectives on the Growth of GI Technologies
To find out more and download the presentations from last year's
session, please see the following webpage:
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucessan/news/PastNews.html
The session papers will also be put forward for consideration in a
journal and GI technology magazine.
Organiser - Dr. Sanjay Rana, University College London, UK
Abstract, expression of interests, and queries related to the session
should be emailed to s.rana@ucl.ac.uk.
IMPORTANT Dates:
Deadline for submission of abstract to the session :
OCTOBER 15, 2006.
Notification of acceptance :
OCTOBER 19, 2006
Deadline for submission of abstracts to the AAG :
