The Department of Geomatic Engineering is offering 9 Studentships/
Bursaries

1=2E New UCL Futures Master's Scholarships for MSc Environmental Mapping

There are two scholarships of =A32000 each for the new MSc in
Environmental Mapping.

These scholarships are available on the basis of academic achievement
and are open to students admitted to and registered on the programme
in 2007/08 The successful candidates will be selected from those who
have been accepted onto the course by 31 August.

The new programme in Environmental Mapping is a development of the
well established masters programmes in Geomatics at UCL. The
programme takes elements of the courses in Remote Sensing, GIS,
Surveying, Hydrographic Surveying and Photogrammetry and combines them
into a coherent programme in Environmental Mapping. It provides
students with the opportunity to study, at an advanced level, the ways
in which spatial data can be collected, processed and analysed to map
and understand the environment.

2=2E NERC studentships in Remote Sensing

There are 5 studentships (masters training grants) available. They are
open to UK and EU students (for more details on eligibility please
visit http://www.nerc.ac.uk/funding/available/postgrad/ ) they can be
allocated as full or part awards (fees plus contribution to
maintenance) EU students would qualify for fees only

The MSc in Remote Sensing is the leading Master's level programme in
remote sensing in the UK. The programme, although taught at UCL, draws
expertise and teaching from across many parts of the University of
London. It provides students with the opportunity to study at an
advanced level the ways in which remote sensing instruments in space
and on aircraft may be used to collect environmental information about
the Earth.

3=2E MSc Student Bursaries GIS

There are 2 bursaries available to UK and EU students. Each is worth
=A35,500 (including fees) the selected candidates must first enrol on
one of two MSc courses offered by University College London - the MSc
in GIS (Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering)
or the MSc in Environment, Science and Society (Department of
Geography)
