I've got and old eTrex I use for hunting.

I'm not out in wilds or canyons but would like to get a better model
that picks up satellites more rapidly through trees and has built-in maps.

Garmin site does not help me pick between the models above base model
which has no maps.

Any suggestions?

Or 76CSx, which I like better due to he layout and the fact that it
floats vs sinks. Jack Erbes did a fantastic comparison of the two, I'll
try and dig it up.

I like the 76CSX over the 60CSX because it floats if dropped in the
water and doesn't have that clunky antenna sticking out of the top.
Either one would probably be sensitive enough for you and both models
have a base map built in, but if you want street level maps you would
have to buy them. Another route to go for maps would be to go to
GPSfiledepot and download free topo maps.

Thanks for the recommendations but I was hoping to stay in the eTrex
series at lower cost. Don't need anything special but want maps which
includes road names.
Garmin lit4erature is not clear. Guess I'll probably go to Best Buy,
look over their offerings and buy at Amazon if cheaper.
