Had it about 3 years and only holding a charge for about 1/2 hour.
Anyone know how to replace the battery without sending it to garmin?

        I have Nuvi 680 and the battery won't last very long either. ABout
replacing battery, if you can OPEN it then you should be able to replace
with either original, compatible, or whatever 3rd party battery you can find
(I mean same battery type).

        And GOOGLE should have the answer waiting for you.

I think Radio Shack may have a replacement battery, but probably special
order.

Another choice is batteryship.com. Enter nuvi 660 in their search box,
and it should take you to the battery. Some of their batteries include
a tool set for opening the GPS.
