I've started using my Nüvi for bicycle, and I wonder if it is possible to
"record" the route, and transfer it back to my computer?

The 760 automatically records what Nuvi's call a Trip Log - and other
Garmin products call a Track Log.
You clear it by going to TOOLS - MY DATA - CLEAR TRIP LOG. Unlike some
Garmin products, there is no provision to control the logging strategy
or resolution.
When you connect your Nuvi to your computer (using the MapSource
software), you will be able to transfer the Trip/Track Log to your
computer (using either the "Receive from Device" button or the
"Receive from Device" choice under the "Transfer" drop down.
You can select Maps, Waypoints, Routes and/or Tracks for transfer. You
will want to select tracks. In the language of Nuvi, a waypoint is
called a "Favorite", by the way. There would be no reason to transfer
a map from the Nuvi back to the computer since that's where the maps
originated.
Once on the computer, you can save it and render in(display it) on
any of the maps (e.g., City Navigator, Topo, etc.) you might have
installed.
Hope this helps.
