Until your post :-)

This one and the other three alt.satellite.gps groups I lurk in have
been so quiet that I checked other Usenet providers to make sure it
wasn't Albasani...Although one of them was Eternal September.

Anyway, you've eased my "Why me?" worries.

Quite what?

OTOH, it has been surprisingly quiet here. After Christmas I'd have though a
lot of new GPS users would have questions.

it's always interesting after the xmas presents are opened and the FAQs
begin.
reading the Garmin newsgroup, along with the eReaders forums...
like the Amazon Kindle forum & last year, the B&N Nook forum.

didn't realize how un-informed folks can be... or really dumbed down...
but that's just like reality TV

I figured it out. All those people you speak of have gone out and tried
their new GPS's, and blindly followed the routes into lakes or off of
cliffs, so we aren't going to be hearing from them (unless we get ouija
boards).
