Hey, I see that Garmin is giving away one of their new nuvis a day this
week at www.nuvi.blogs.com. Cool!
Why do they need my date of birth (month, day, and year) along with my
telephone number to register for the giveaway? I am currently an owner/user
of 6 Garmin hand held devices and have never given them more than an e-mail
address to register any device (maybe gave them a mailing address, I don't
remember).

I'm glad they asked. Today's my birthday and maybe they will send me a
present :-)
Not likely: I never win door prizes and the like!

If you can't beat 'em, they're not tied down properly.
