I have a nuvi 205 as does my friend. Mine does not recieve satellite
signals as well as hers. I'd like to know why.
I have downloaded and installed newer maps for my unit. She has not.
I don't know if this has effected things, but doubt it.
Can anyone explain to me why the two nuvis perform differently?
Brent
Sample variation in manufacturing. If you bought it locally and recently,
take it back and swap it out.

Thanks for the reply. I expected as much.

Remember, start at the simple stuff.
The antenna for the reception is in the power cord of the unit.
I would bet that is one of the main differences in all hookups. How
and where is your cord positioned when in use?

What?

I don't use the power cord while I'm driving. When I arrive at my destination,
I hook up the unit to the cord to recharge the battery.
