If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
nuiv 255W. Find destination, estimated miles 700+.
Added 7 way points. All show up properly in directions to destination.
I could not find a way to save the route with way points added.
Must way points be added each time the GPS is turned on?

The 255 does not support such routes. It supports a single
point-to-point route with ONE optional waypoint in between, and does
NOT support saving or uploading of routes.
I think you need a 700 series, at least, for that.
You can, of course, add and save Favorites and pull them up as needed.

Thanks for the reply.
It did 'take' the multiple way points and the displayed route did go through
all of them. But of course it could not be saved.
I know, but I was hoping to not have to keep resetting destinations as I was
driving. Making the way point destinations where I would plan to stop for
food, gas, lodging would probably take care of it.

How did you manage that? Because I never have. I've only been able to
add ONE waypoint between where I am and my destination, and I am unable
to upload a route from MapSource because the 255 does not support them.

1. Save final destination.
>add ONE waypoint between where I am and my destination, and I am unable
>to upload a route from MapSource because the 255 does not support them.
2. Save last way point
3. Save next to last way point
4. Save way points in descending order.
5. Open route to final destination
6. With route to final destination open, open routes to way points in
descending order and select 'Way Point' for each.
7. Display map to final destination. On my 255 they were all flagged and when
examining the text for the route to the final destination, the way points were
listed as way points, not the intersections for which the way points were
saved. Saving the route with way points ends up with the original directions
to the final destination without way points.
My GPS is only about 1 month old. Possibly software has been changed.
