I have a recent Garmin Nuvi 1450. (December 2009)
Today I was trying to enter a street address in Oregon which is
relatively new and it said not available.

At what point would I look for upgrade maps (and the cost?)
Thanks

Go here:
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=253&pID=1456&ra=true#coverageTab

Find where the road is supposed to be.

If it shows up, buy then. Upgrades are available on the same site.

It took three years for my new construction home to show up on the updates.

The reverse can also be true. A freeway extension in our area showed as being
open several months before we could drive on it.

My Mother has had the same address in Seattle for well over 50 years, and
the latest mapset from Garmin doesn't recognize it.
