Hi All
Has anyone seen a converter that will allow me to convert from the mp3
format to the aa (talking book) format?
Either Mac or Windows would be OK.
I have talking books that I would like to play thru my Nuvi GPS, but it
only plays aa format for talking books.
Cheers
David
David,
I'd be interested in a converter too.
I play my mp3 talking books through my Nuvi by putting the files in the MP3
folder.
What are the advantages in having the files as aa format? I haven't used aa
files.
HI Brian
I gather the greatest benefit is that you can jump to a chapter, and can
bookmark your place in the 'book' - the bookmarking feature is important as
with long books I wouldn;t want to have to go to the beginning each time I
want to resume listening.

I have split my MP3 books into 1 hour chunks as I was originally listening
to them from a CD in the car. If I'm say 60% through a chunk then I make a
note of how many minutes have been read and fast forward to that point when
I resume the trip. Usually the MP3 player in the Nuvi restarts from that
point anyway.
