After another posting to a topic,
I happen to check what version map I had -
it is 2010.30 -
I was curious when I purchased and downloaded it...
it was Jan 2010 -
So - following in other software vendor futuristic numbering schemes,
I downloaded it in Jan 2010 - and it was labelled 2010.30 -

And what are you trying to say? Or do you by any chance trying to say
it's the SAME number with the current "2011.30" (*not* "2010.30").
My Nuvi 1490T I bought around a year or so ago has 2010.10, and I am still
using it (not yet registered).

Joel -
I never can figure out what you are trying to say,
even with english not being your first language...
My point is -
that just like other software, firmware, hardware versions,
that Garmin has taken to futuristic numbering plans....
Not specific versions during the year,
but it appears just a number, rolling faster into the future...
It would be intereesting to know what map versions were made avail during
2010 ?
In January, it was 2010.30 - yeah that was .30....
so 2010.xx (first version) must have been made avail in 2009.
Here it is November 2010 -
and the currently avail map is........
Tah Dah ->>>> 2011.30 -
City Navigator North America NT 2011.30

That's exactly why I asked you, cuz I never can figure out what you are
trying to say either.

No wonder why I couldn't be able to figure out what you were trying to
say, and I thought you got mixed up with the version "2010.30" and
"2011.30". And now I guess I think you got mixed up because you think
"2010" is the YEAR when I think it's nothing more than just a NUMBER.
Yes, Garmin may make people think it's the YEAR, but because it ain't the
year so we have to think it's just a NUMBER
IOW, in Jan 2010, Garmin released *version* 2010.30, and now Non 2010 Garmin
released *version* 2011.30. Who knows, by the end of 2010 they may release
version 2012.10 or 3010.10

Yes, but the number very closely reminds the year we have according our
calender. Anyway, why is it like this? I am wondering too. Do we need to
understand, that before this version garmin has already released 2010
version of the same map? Probably not. :-)
