so I tried a couple of tests with Nuvi 255 + micro SD card.
Using Geocaching.com....
Find a geocache, and click on the send to GPS icon.
This sent a single .GPX file via a web interface to either D: or E : - my
choice.
Next, tried using the checkboxes and "download waypoints" at the bottom.
This created a GEOCACHING.LOC file for Open or Save.
I used Open with my EasyGPS program.... which then could Send To GPS.
The interesting thing - which I hadn't really noticed before,
was that the GPX file when saved in the /Garmin/GPX/ sub-dir on the GPS
would automatically "appear" with the "Favs" listing.
AND - it didn't matter if it was
D:Garmin/GPX - for the internal flash
E:/Garmin/GPX - for the external micro SD card
I could then "edit" each entry and put them into a Geocaching "category" on
the GPS.
Or, remove them from the GPS files,
and re-add them via POI Loader as POIs vs FAVS.
SO - in summary - I usually had a choice of D: or E:
except for my specific software - EasyGPS -
which just sent them to the internal D:

the 450... evidently I'm not the only one having this problem... have gone
over to the EasyGPS forums.. a lot of people are in the same boat with other
Garmin units also... tried everything
