So, i have a 60csx that came with the north american street maps
(used). I took the .img file from the gps units and backed it up onto
my computer. I then installed the ibycus topo maps for Canada, which
erased the city navigator from the sd card.
Then i copied the city naviagtor .img file back onto the sd card. I
tried renaming the city navigator file both GMAPPROM.IMG and
GMAPSUP2.IMG, but not luck: i go to maps, menu, setup map and i can
see the options for the topo maps to appear, but the option for the
city navigator to appear isn't there. When i go to find, i can't type
in addresses either, like i could when i originally had the city
navigator installed.
So what's going on -- am i renaming the .img files wrong or can you
not have more than 1 map set?
Normally gmapsupp.img and gmapprom.img work nice next to eachother. Tried
the name gmapbmap.img as well?
Otherwise, try merging the IMG files using the GMapTool.

Why are you going through all of the file manipulation?
I have the CNNA, garmin topos, and topos from GPSFileDepot.com loaded. I
switch the mapsets in Mapsource, select the regions that I want for that
mapset and then transfer the maps, waypoints, tracks, etc to the 76CSx
and all of the data go into a sigle .img file (assuming you have the
room available on the card) Then I select whatever mapset I want to use
on the handheld.
