I have a new computer and want to install Mapsource. The only files I have in
my archive
are updates. Where can I find the original install?

Thanks,
Choco

Install your mapping from the original CD or DVD and it will install
MapSource. Then you can use the updates to bring it up to date. A good
place to stop on the updates is 6.13.7. Starting with 6.14 they started
dumbing down and crapping up MapSource for no apparent benefit.

If you don't have a mapping package to install, you can download the
Garmin Training Center, install that, then update it to MapSource.

Then there is this archive:

http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/agree.html

if you cannot find it there it does not exist as far as Garmin software.

But there is not a version of MapSource there in the Archive that will
do an install from scratch. You still have to have a mapping product or
the Garmin Training Center to get started with.

Warning, it might not be easy. Especially if you don't remember things
like the DOS prompt...

Good luck,

Jack
