my son live in a brand new apt complex. his address is not in the system
yet, is there any way i can save it in my street pilot c330?

also, how long does it take when new roads/hiways are built to get added to
new maps. and is there anyway to check before i buy an upgraded map.

Go to his house then double click on the current pointer (location) and it
will give you the option to save.

It depends on the company, if it's important rute then may be 1-2 years or
sometime even before the project is done (like newer bridge), but if it
isn't important then it can take years to decade(s).

Garmin gets their map data from NavTeq and you can speed up the
process of adding new data or fixing errors by going to the NavTeq
website and describing the needed change on their customer feedback
form. They'll send you an email update after they review the change
and correct their database. It should then appear in the subsequent
map update from Garmin. To be sure that it has before buying the
update you can use Garmin's 'Map Viewer' on their website to zoom in
to the area and verify that the corrections/additions have been made.

You can also send the mapping company the info yourself.

Thanks for the info, but I don't think I can have free time to serve them
.. when they can just look at many other map programs to compare thiers with
others. MapQuest for example is an excellent map which is much much much
better than any current Mapsource map.

Also, if I know the location then I don't really need GPS <bg>
