Forgive me if this has been cover here before. I have an etrex Legend
HCX that is about one year old and the adhesive holding the rubber
band on has turned to goo. The band will freely slide and the adhesive
is sometimes getting on the outside making it sticky. I have contacted
Garmin but wonder if there is a fix rather than sending it back and
having the same adhesive put on only to turn to goo in anther year.
This unit has been used about 40 times and has never been exposed to
any heat.
Thanks,

John

Try a thin coating of clear silicone sealer.
