Pops up on the top of my Nuvi 350's screen and the darned thing never seems
to find one. Sent email to Garmin in this, just wondering if you folks out
there have any thoughts/suggestions. I'm about ready to take the thing back
to the store and get a refund.
Nuvi 350
Software ver. 5.60

Mine's 5.50... thanks - I'll update mine.

You did flip open the antenna, yes? My 350 took 30 seconds to acquire
satellites from inside my single story house. I haven't used it in a few
months....

Yep, the antenna was flipped up and I was outside to boot...

If you're not getting any satellites within a couple minutes, I'd think
something's really wrong with that unit. After you get the screen that asks
you to tap "AGREE," you get s screen with "Where to?" and all that, and in
the upper left of that same screen are 5 ascending bars. Tap on that to get
the satellite view... no action? Mine came on pretty quickly this time, and
it shows the altitude and alleged accuracy level in feet, my coordinates...
all that stuff. If yours isn't showing any of this, then return it for an
exchange.

Brand new out of the box?
Used to work and does not any longer?
Trees or tall buildings?
Seems to lock up on the "acquiring satellites" message?
No navigation at all?
No maps showing?
Are you stationary or in a vehicles?
How long are you waiting?
