I emailed Garmin tech support eight days ago with a simple question
about my new nuvi-- no response yet!

So today I called them. And by the way, they don't have a toll=free
number so the all was on my dime. The recording said it would be a 20-25
minute wait. Screw it, I just hung up.

Frankly, I'm of a mind to return the damned thing and buy one of the
other brands!!

So, are you doing to ask your question here, or just complain?

Which country are you calling from? Maybe toll-free doesn't work where
you are. Here in the US, the toll-free number worked fine the last
time I used it, but I have to admit that the 913 number is a local
call for me, so I have also used that one. Garmin HQ is about a mile
from my house.

US: 913-397-8200
US Toll Free: 1-800-800-1020
Canada: 1-866-429-9296

well Bill - looks like you're an old time gunslinger (name),
or in a rock band, or a retired gent in Wyoming...
All seem to be USA...

SO - you found us - what's your question or problem -
There is a TON of stuff not explained or covered in Garmin manuals,
you basically have to play with the GPS.... sorta like any other "computer".

Don't be shy, ask your question here. Or you could read the owners manual.
Almost every question I have seen on this forum has been covered in the
owners manuals. Or do you think Garmin should give every customer a private
education on his unit. Take it back. It will be your loss as no other GPS
compares.
