Hi.
I have a Garmin 660. [1]. The maps for the UK are sooooo innaccurate
it's a real nuicance. [2]. So I'm considering switching brand, but
before I do, which has the most up to date maps? Which are updated
most often? Which are the most accurate with the least missing / moved
roads? Which costs the least for their maps?
Oh, and which has the most realistic 'lorry' setting?
Thanks.
[1] It has the map "City Navigator Europe NT 2008".
[2] Today I was told by my 660 to take a lorry through the gates of a
London hospital. I guess there had been a road there sometime past but
the hospital has been built over it, and it's been there for a long,
long time. AND so many industrial estates are missing. AND so many new
housing estates are being built but even three or more years later
they are still missing. AND recent (2/3 years and more) bypasses are
missing.
AND on lorry setting it tries to send me through weight limited roads,
narrow widths, country roads instead of faster carriageways.... and so
on.
