I cannot find the language for the GPX format as used ont he newer Garmins.
The older CSV doesn't fully support things like phone call-out (Bluetooth),
etc.

Example: <gpxx:PhoneNumber>1-555-1212<gpxx:PhoneNumber>

Didn't find anything on Garmin's site (their search engine isn't much good).

Thanks.

B~

Hello,

The GPX format used by Garmin is a simple XML file (ask a search
engine for more on this !).

It follows the GPs eXchange 1.1 format standard documented at
http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/
The XSD schema is available at http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd

They use also Garmin-specific extensions to this format, defined in
the XSD available at
http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensions/v3/GpxExtensionsv3.xsd
All the tags prefixed by "gpxx:" (in the gpxx namespace) are related
to those Garmin specific extensions.

All those informations are just extracted from the file header ;-)

Regards,

Christophe

PS : Be careful, there's a syntax error in your sample, which should
be "<gpxx:PhoneNumber>1-555-1212</gpxx:PhoneNumber>"

To encode phone numbers you need to be using the beta-test version of POI
Loader, not the standard one. An example of the format for GPX data,
including phone numbers, is included in the PDF file that comes with that
version of POI Loader.
