I have a Nuvi 200W and have loved the unit from day one. While on a
weekend trip in Dallas I carried it in my pocket and everyone was amazed
at the food and attractions search. It's to bad I cant get a kick back
from Garmin after all of the I'm getting one of those comments i heard
from people.
I am wanting to upgrade to a better unit but I want more route planning
on my next unit. Do any of the better units allow you to plan on the
computer and load a trip. Many times I want to go a particular way or
stop at an attraction that is not on the suggested route. On my 200 the
waypoints are limited.

Thanks for the reply but I have already done the comparisons.
Years ago we traveled the states using Delorme and later Microsoft maps,
i liked the option to set my own route and being able to go off of the
beaten path and not going the ( fastest route / quickest route options
on the Nuvi)
What I would like is to be able to plot my course on the computer and
upload it to the GPS unit. Is this what the POI does or does it just for
points of interest.

With route planning you can save 10 routes, specify via points and
preview simulated turns
on the 755T's wide screen. In addition, nüvi 755T automatically sorts
multiple destinations
to provide an efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls. It
also displays speed
limits for highways and Interstates. A trip log provides an electronic
bread crumb trail of up to
10,000 points, so you can see where you've been on the map.
