I've cracked the case on my beloved 76Cx, the clear plastic right in the
middle of the display. The LCD is undamaged and everything is working
perfect, I just can't see the LCD very well any more.

Garmin wants me to pay for a flat rate repair ($110) to get it fixed.

Any one have a dead 76Cx they want to sell for parts?

Jack

If you do a Google on 'Garmin repairs' you should find some cheaper
alternatives to sending off your unit to Garmin.

This one is uk based:

http://www.satnavrepaircentre.com/

But there are bound to be some similar US based repair companies.
