Has anyone updated from the 2010 Map to the 2011 Map? My wife, who
gets lost going around the block, needs the map to be as accurate as
possible, and the POIs to be accurate.

Has there been much change. We live in the San Bernardino Mountains
above the city of San Bernardino, CA.

I've not checked for changes, but the install went without a hitch. (We're in
Rancho Cucamonga.)

I got the 2011 update but would not trust any gps device exclusively.
Always keep a paper map handy (I get them free as an AAA member).
Read my other thread re: Getty Center, and you'll know what I mean.

Don't give your wife a GPS. Read this:

Don't think my wife will use the GPS for walking directions. We live
in an area where nothing is within walking distance. The only way to
get around is by automobile.

At present, we have two GPS devices. A Garmin c550 with the 2009 map
and a Garmin Nuvi 255W with the 2010 map. I think I will update the
c550 and place that in her car. I'll update the Nuvi with the 2012
map.
