Does anyone here have USA Photomaps working with a Garmin 76-CSx to
show your position on a moving map display?

Thanks

Yes, my 76Cx works with USA Photomaps v. 2.76...

In Photomap I have set the GPS, Comm Port, to Comm 1 (my computer's comm port
number) and Protocol to NMEA...

In the 76Cx I have set: Setup, Interface, Serial Data Format, to NMEA In/NMEA
Out...

Jack I have tried to set mine up and It will exchange data but not
show a moving map display. I am using USB as I do not have a serial
port on my laptop. Is serial the only way for it to work? If yes,
do you know if a USB/Serial converter would work?

Thanks

76 will not put out NMEA data on USB - has to be serial. You need that
serial cable with the round 4-pin plug.
