I have a Streetpilot C340 with the software installed on a computer running
MS Vista. I also have an old iQue 3600 that was hooked up to another
computer running WinXP. Is there any reason that I couldn't move the iQue
software to the Vista machine? If the iQue software will run on Vista will
there be conflicts between the two versions and two devices? Any help or
ideas would be appreciated. TIA!

I believe you are confused about C340 software vs iQue software, I believe
there is no such thing. In general
- All Data Maps installed on computer will require MapSource to run. So
there should be no more than ONE MapSource to be conflicted
- Software for C340 and iQue? I am guessingf you mean the Data Maps. If so
then they are 2 different beasts, they can't be ran on their own but TWO
separated DATAs require MapSource to run.
They will be and shouwld be installed on 2 *separated* folders. And *if*
they are licensed for *both* GPSes then you can combine data of both Data
Maps to any GPS you wish. If not then you will have to install the correct
Data Map to correct GPS else it won't work.

Thanks for the reply. You're probably right about the software being the
maps and not the device so much. The ique may have a little different
software for the device, though, since it also has the palm operating system
in addition to the gps maps. I'll just try setting things up in different
folder and see what happens! After all, what's the worst case that can
happen. Oh yah, I guess that I could hose the whole system and have to
reinstall everything from scratch! B-( I guess that's what back-ups are
for. System restore?
The maps are each licensed for their individual machine and I'm fine with
that. Actually, the ique is pretty old and mostly I'm just playing around
with it.
Anyhow, thanks, again, for the reply!
