Can anybody point me a a source for good topographical maps for the area
of the Glens of Antrim (N.E. Ireland) for an Etrex Legend?

There's free contour maps for the UK and Ireland in Garmin format
available here: http://www.smc.org.uk/ContourMaps.htm
Note these are basically just contours, with some summits / trig points
/ water etc - no roads or paths.
You could also look at OpenStreetMap: http://www.openstreetmap.org/
I'm not sure exactly how good it is for that area, but it probably has
most main roads, and some others. See here for instructions for getting
it on a Garmin: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin
