I'd like to give you my feedback about the installation of topo maps, in my
case the demo of the Garmin TransAlpin.
Garmin service told me that my device is not in the compatibility list. So i
tried saving the .iso file on a micro-sd, after booting the map is listed in
the loaded maps, but when I go to the area included in the demo nothing is
there... Tried deactivating the Road maps, only TransAlpin active, but
nothing is there...
So if I haven't done something wrong.. this map doesn't work on the 1490T.

On my Nuvi, I just used Mapsource to select the Topo areas and then just
uploaded those onto the external SD Card and then selected on the
device.
