Hi there Luddites! My new 2460LMT shows me on occasion 'time to home xx
minutes' or 'time to (Some destination) xx minutes' on the top of the screen
where normally the next streets are announced when driving WITHOUT being on
a route.
How do I turn this 'off'? It must somehow think that due to where I am and
the time of day, it presumes I am going to that particular destination.
First time I saw this, I freaked ('big brother is watching out for you'). In
reality, I prefer it to simply show me the upcoming streets and not presume
it knows where I am going!

Please be aware I'm just playing :-)
Seriously, I wonder if it somehow gets into a routing mode instead of
just reporting your position...It's a mystery to me too.

This is feature called myTrends. You can turn it off with menu:
Tools -> Settings -> Navigation -> car -> nuRoute -> myTrends
Your nuvi is collecting data about your movements and is trying to
guess where are you going at the moment. When you connect your nuvi to
PC, these data could be send to Garmin too, just watch your agrements,
when using Garmin software like GarminMapUpdater or myGarmin site ;)

- Andrzej - thanks! I actually thought I had disabled this a while back
because I had seen it when running through the options, but apparently I did
not since when I went to it this AM, it was indeed 'enabled' as an option.
When I clicked 'disable', it asked if I wanted to clear its history which I
said 'yes' to, and all seems well so far as of tonight.
I appreciate your taking the time to answer.
