Can I use Streets & Trips to layout a route and then download it to my C340
or zumo?

Richard, there are some 3rd party utility programs capable of converting
Microsoft Streets and Trips file (.est) to other file formats. This would
allow you to transfer your waypoints.

Some of these programs may not yet be compatible with the new Streets &
Trips 2009 version.

I suggest you work with Garmin's Mapsource program which is designed
to work with the Garmin GPS receivers.
