Sharing Usage Data with Garmin, Yay or Nay?

I'm not sure whether I should share the data with Garmin or not. They
say that they don't share data with anyone else.
I've read (well, skimmed actually) the privacy statement and it seems
harmless enough.

        I have no idea what you mean they... "They" = "Garmin" specific or some
*default* agreement of most software installation or OS?

        With Garmin you should have no problem sharing your personal data, but you
can't share the Map Data as it's protected by the Unit #'s.
