Is there a way to save the active route on the nuvi 855?

I tried RTFM.

Several years ago, there used to be an area on the Garmin web site to look
over the new map releases to see what new roads etc. they had added. I
can't seem to find that now. Have they stopped given out a preview?

If you select a map, CN NA for example

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=1456

Click the "View Map" tab and you'll see "Click to view a detailed,
interactive map" above the coverage map.

This will open another window with the map previewer.

I don't know if the preview is available for all products.

On my Nuvi 250 the route is embedded in Current.GPX in the device's Garmin
directory.
