MapSource 6.15.4

I select a starting and ending point to create a route. MapSource draws a
route.

What is the easiest way to use the route tool to change a portion of the
selected route? I do not want to add a permanent waypoint, just use the
route tool to add a via point and then have the existing route incorporate
the selection into its route calculation.

Thanks

Mike

In the previous version of MapSource once you had selected the second
location with the cursor when using the Route Tool, the route would be
calculated and displayed.

If you then change to the Select Tool (the arrow head) and click once on
the route (it is seen as a yellow line) you would see a "+" and the
symbol from the Route Tool by your cursor and the route would become an
active "rubber band" and it could be dragged over to another location.
And when you clicked the location it would be added to the route and the
route recalculated.

Not sure if that was "improved out of" the newer versions or not.

It still works. Thank you very much. That really helps!

Sometimes the route I am drawing magically decides to exit loop back for a
while and then loop back to continue the desired direction. Very strange. I
had not found an easy way to fix that problem, but this may help. I would
like to be able to select a portion of a route and just delete it as well.
However, I am starting to see that adding a single point route extension
allows one to then delete a via further down the line. The doco could be a
little more helpful?

Thanks again.
