Jens-
I purchased a replacement battery for my Nuvi 350 from
<http://www.batteryship.com/> , which came with tools needed to open the
case.
On the Nuvi 350, there are a couple of tiny torx or hex screws holding
the antenna together. When the antenna is disassembled, a couple more
tiny screws are visible that hold the body case together. Finally, a
plastic pry-tool is used to separate the body case halves.
No doubt the Nuvi 250 may be slightly different, but the process is
probably the same. Good luck on finding space for a jack, if it doesn't
already have one!
