If you want to know more about the Oregon series have a look at the
following website... http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/

To answer the specific about "looking for an addresss".
It depends what maps you have on the unit.
I bought a 550t - where the "t" indicates it is pre-loaded with a
Topo base map (The whole of Europe in my case) which included a
Digital Elevation Model of the area with contours and shows shading
of the hills. This is available for both the 450t and the 550t
units. The 4450 and 550 are identical yet without the pre-loaded
maps. The internal map space is also reduced on these units.

The "t" mapping is referered to as "A Recreational Map of Europe" on
my unit and contains road data and numerous POI's - there is an
equivalent for US.
My unit had about 850Mb left on the unit and I added a 4Gb Micro-SD
card to add my extra maps.
If you add extra maps from Mapsource you can rename the .img files
to build up a collection of maps on the device.
Mapsource is dumb and always creates a file of the same name and so
would overwrite the last download if no action was taken.
As an aside, it is possible to create a single mapset file which is
actually combined from several mapping products. The Oregon will
show the individual mapping products in a list.

This ability to have multiple maps comes in to its own with the
Oregon facilty for "profiles".
Each profile can be setup to display different sets of maps and with
different settings.
So for example I have a profile for Driving using City Navigator NT
Europe maps; another for off-road walking using OpenStreetMap maps;
another for Boating using BlueChart Atlantic maps; another for the
BirdsEye aerial photos I have downloaded; and another for Geocaching

The Oregon series is touch-screen and it looks like the
functionality has been transfered to the new 62 and 78 series
although activated by buttons.
