It might take some time for the FM system to transmit the proper
initialization codes to the receiver, but your problem sounds like an
improper input sequence or format.
I'm pretty sure that the lifetime price for FM traffic is a new
implementation, therefore, it is likely that the FM traffic receiver needs a
firmware update before it will accept lifetime input codes.
Use Webupdater to update the unit software, and it will offer to download
any new updates for the FM receiver. Then, when you next attach your unit
to the receiver and power all on, any downloaded updates for the FM receiver
will activate and process.
