just wanted to re-vist this topic -
as everything for me goes internal - except jpegs -
I've used POI Loader, etc...
Everything gets created on the internal memory vs the SD card.
Is there any way to explicitly copy things to the external card ?

ie - even tried creating e:/Garmin/Vehicle and e:/vehicle
and neither's contents showed up in the list.

Maybe the 260W works differently than the 260 ??

Maybe the 260W works differently than the 260 ??

Tried a couple of experiments with POI Loader & my 260.

POI Loader allows you to copy to any location,
so I tried pointing it at the SD Card. (e:\)
The folder name does not seem to matter, (tried different names),
and when the Garmin Nuvi 260 re-boots,
it displays a message....

"New Extras data found on card.
Would you like to install this data
so that it will be available if the card is removed"

If I click NO,
the data is still avail from the card via the Extras Custom POI...

I even tried manually renaming the folder,
in case it's name was stored via the POI Loader,
but it appears not to matter,
and the Garmin must just scan the files looking for any *.GPI file ?
