Postal Codes - Where To ?

In another thread there was mention of using Postal Codes.
Since this was focused in the UK,
I'm wondering if the Garmin international versions
have a different firmware to support
a slightly different Where To ?

I only saw the Postal Code
in the "address" area only after changing state/country
to say - Canada - and BC -
The USA screens did not have it,
only Spell City, Search All

Where as the Canada screen, after selecting BC, had
Spell City, Spell Postal Code, Search All



ie - in my Garmin 255 -
the Where To ? has the follow icons :
go home
points of interest
recently found
favs
intersections
extras (custom poi loaded)
cities
browse map
coords
