Have had and enjoyed a Nuvi 360. I'm buying new one for 2nd car and have
little help from the Garmin site or a toll car to headquarters.

Nuvi 3760T does more (extra thin, picture rotates when flip it, etc.) than I
want to pay for.

Want the features of either the 1490T or 765T They are list priced at the
same amount but 765T seems to do a little more than the other. The thing
is, is the 765T an older model series rather than the 4 digit series of the
1490t and does this matter? Call to Garmin headquarters really didn't
help.

Also, I have long been under the impression that poi's that I saved on the
360 can't be transferred to tlhe new gps. Guy at headquarters says wrong,
they can all be transferred. I trust the gurus on this site more than the
guy at Garmin who really didn't seem to have much personal knowledge. Can I
transfer the locales I've saved on my 360 to a new unit?

All 3 models do routing, the more expensive one stores 100 routes as opposed
to 10 routes. He (gramin guy) told me that meant routes on the 765t or
1490t could have onlly 10 waypoints while the more expensive one could have
100 waypoints. Can he be right? A waypoint is different for routes,
aren't they?? I don't need to store more than 10 routes but I might like to
have a route with far more than 10 waypoints.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Doubt if anyone is watching this but I've taken care of it and got a Garmin
3790T

I have my eyes on that one, but no doubt in six months it'll be
$149--after all the "gotta have it!" buyers have bought.
