Garmin Nuvi 765T
Map = CN North America NT 2010.40
On a county road where I live. Garmin says there are two Inns in the
Where To/Points of Interest/Entertainment file and gives the addresses.
We'll call one John's Inn and the other Jane's Inn (not the real names).
John's Inn is on a corner of a T intersection. Jane's Inn is about 2.5
km further down the county road. The Garmin map shows the beer glass
icon at both locations
John's Inn is correctly located. Jane's Inn is not where Garmin says it
is and never has been there.
That's because Jane's Inn is the former name of John's Inn at that T
intersection location.
Whose error is this, Garmin or Navteq?
How do I report it?

Navteq--and Jane's Inn to some extent.

Report the CNNANT error directly to:

http://mapreporter.navteq.com/

Since your map version is two revisions from the current latest, the
error might have been corrected already. However, you could check and
verify the latest info in their map database via the link above.

I've asked Garmin in the past. It's Navteq issue - but they only display
what they're told. IF the inn owner never corrected public records then
Navteq thinks 2 businesses. You can go to Navteq site and describe issue,
but I'd first tell the owner of the Inn. It's in HIS best interest to get it
fixed. That's what I do when I find the location not correct. Navteq only
updates the info next time they update that particular map ... maybe in 12
months or maybe in 3 months.

For Rein's Deli in Conn, Garmin tells me that the Deli is IN the street -
not left/right but IN the street. Actually it is located in a shopping
center mall BEHIND the building where Garmin said it is.
I told the hosts there and they said he'd tell the owners. They both had GPS
but neither ever used it to check location which I thought was dumb. Next
time I'm there I'll check just out of curiousity.

The current owner's address is correct and the Inn is in the right location.
I never noticed before the resale if Jane's Inn was correctly located on
the GPS, web maps, or Google Earth. Maybe it was wrong and Jane never
knew it. This is a pretty rural area and maybe Jane didn't have a GPS or
even have internet access or a computer, and I doubt if anyone ever
tried to get directions to the place. It is mainly (maybe even
exclusively) a neighborhood bar. I pass by this Inn almost daily and
there are few cars/PUs in the lot, day or night. They close at 11 PM.
It does have rooms for rent, but I think they are transients.
I did check on the Navteq site and they don't have the error on their
online map, so it is just my outdated GPS map that has the error.

Just FYI, here's the place.

The place looks like a dump. You're right to avoid it.
