it including Bass Pro.. I see newer Oregon's 450t 550 550t etc... need the

IMHO Bass Pro doesn't really deal with coastal focus much. They're much
more likely to have the 400i (with the inland lake/river charts) than
the c.

I sent an email to Garmin Support ..according to their response... it's been
discontinued

BP near us in Myrtle Beach has a lot of saltwater gear.. so does the one in Ft
Laud that I always go to.. the ones NOT along the coast deal with a lot of
freshwater and hunting/hiking....it is not listed on their online site anymore
either..

Interesting, since it's still on Garmin site as a current model...

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=161&pID=14905

Note the complete lack of "Discontinued" in the description.

Click on the "Where to Buy" button. There's at least two places online
claiming to have them in stock.

I know that it's still listed as 'good' on their site... but it's what the tech
stated in the return email... I don't make this stuff up

here's what it said.. I removed the tech's name as well as mine ..my original
email thru their site is at the end

Dear R

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be happy to help you with
this.

We have discontinued the Oregon 400C and yes we did come out with the Oregon 450
and 550. Unfortunately, they will not tell us if they are going to come out with
an Oregon that has the costal maps on it or not. I wish I had more information,
but I don't. Sorry.
