If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
You can also use Google Maps to send coordinates to a Garmin sat-nav.
No EasyGPS required.

Or just follow Goats instructions and edit the file in notepad. It's
only a plain ASCII XML file. No charge, no hassle :-)

You will need to LOAD it into MapSource then save it to hard drive. About
a month ago I did transfer the My Favourite from the old Nuvi-680 to new
Nuvi-1490T and it works.

For the 255W, you can just connect it to any USB computer and open the
folders on the Garmin and copy them to a safe place on your computer.
If you ever put it back, you would lose any new settings or updates, but
that would save them.
POILoader also works.
