Is there a way to capture a screen image from a Nuvi [350]? I know about
xImage but it doesn't seem to work for the Nuvi.
Alternatively, how about scan technique? Is there a resolution that
works best? Color, greyscale, b/w?

the Nuvi actually has an internal "screen capture" under the Tools -
it places a camera icon in a corner, and when pressed saves the screen image
which you can copy via the USB mode... it takes several images for later
retrieval.
Tools -> Settings -> Display -> Screen Shot (enable)

Thanks. That was exactly what I needed. Simple, easy to use.

The ScreenShot seems to turn off after one picture. Is that right or did
I do something wrong?

Bob-
I tried it several times on both the Nuvi 350 and the 1490T.
There was one screen where pressing the camera icon did not work on the
1490T, but the next screen did work. As I recall, the failure occurred
when I was looking at the map of one of my favorites, and had
drag-scrolled or zoomed-out the map to get a better perspective.
