Nuvi 765T Shutting Down While navigating?

The other day ny Nuvi 765T totally shut down while being used and I couldn't
get it back on for about 20 minutes, then did it again a while later. Never
had it do this before.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas why this is happening or a fix for
it? I tried contacting Garmin tech. support but no reply yet.

Thats good old Garmin "JUNK" for ya.

mine has done that, but not since I upgraded the firmware from 2.30, which
is what was on it out of the box, to the latest, 2.50

I am PRETTY sure that has cured the problem...I can't say for sure for two
reasons

one, I haven't taken another long extended trip like I did when it happened
before

two, I had sent a route from Mapquest to my 765T, and it may have been
something about that route, that caused a problem

I have used it everyday to and from work, a total of about an hour commute
(20-30 minutes each way), and I have not had it reboot yet

keeping my fingers crossed

an additional note to my post about my 765T rebooting itself...unlike the
original poster in this thread, but did not shutdown per se, and then make
me wait 20 minutes to use it again...instead, mine literally rebooted
itself, and after reaquiring the satellites, proceeded to go right back to
my route and give me the next turn directions, without missing a
beat...whole reboot process took maybe 45 seconds...the only thing I had to
do manually was go back into the media player screen, and touch play...but
even that resumed right where the track was playing prior to the reboot.
