I had one installed this weekend in my truck, with a remote antenna. It
shows gas prices, the lowest price it found was $3.85/gallon. How do you
tell it to keep looking?
It had a year free MSN, whatever that is, it gives the weather, gas prices,
movie times (does anyone actually care about movie times), and the
ontfeature that might be worthwhile, traffic news. In California, Southern
Cal, anyway, one could just make all the freeways red, because you do not
have to go far to fina a traffic jam. They are everywhere in all
directions. Perhaps when I travel, this feature might be useful. I figure
the bean bag mount might be good for rent a cars? The traffic is only
available with the MSN plug plugged into a cigarette lighter, and these run
about $80 each (according to the store purchased from), so if one wanted to
use the traffic feature, with the Nuvi 680, in a rent a car, one would have
to purchase another MSN plug device. The original is hard wired into the
vehicle.
I have a older version of the Garmin Map Source Topo, on CD ROM, I used with
my old E-Trex, will it work with the Nuvi 680?
So far, I have not found anything I did not like, but then it has yet to be
tested.
I don't get what you are trying to do.
1. The GPS will continue to report the gas price of close gas station, and
will add the newer while removing the older (further away)
2. You can READ the information on screen like "distance" and "direction"
(the ARROW), as well as the "DATE" (usually 1-2 days OLD information)
3. *If* you want to go to any specific Gas Station then just select it then
tell Nuvi to route there... and 90-99% chance that you may waste your time
and gas to find out the price is yesterday price.

Good for you, and it's nice to hear someone likes everything (I wish I can
do that too). About your TOPO, as long as you can get the Unlock Code for
your Nuvi (or if the TOPO doesn't require unlock code) then it may work.
