Nuvi 670, is it possible to transfer maps to Computer from 670

OK, so I got the 2008 North America upgrade CD and (thanks to a post in
this group) I managed to load Mapsource from the CD to my computer
(without a prior version of Mapsource on my computer).

Now I am trying to figure out how I can get the maps, etc. for Europe
that were preloaded on my Nuvi 670 onto my computer to use with MapSource.

Any ideas short of calling Garmin again asking for the Europe maps for
my computer?

It seems like since I have MapSource (albeit North America 2008) on my
computer there should/could be a way to just transfer certain files
(Europe maps) from my 670 to my computer.

Thanks for you help again as usual... I'm off to Europe in a few weeks
and hope to bring both my notebook (night-time planning) and the 670
with us.

I have no need to try it, but when I connect my C320, I have two download
options from the GPSr in MapSource - maps and waypoints.

If it doesn't have 2008, then a call to Garmin should get you the upgrade
CD.
